Care Guide

Thank you for your purchase!  I hope you enjoy your one of a kind item. Below are recommendations on caring for your embroidered/appliqued garments so they can remain true keepsakes! :)

Depending on your item, it may be best to hand wash the garment especially if it has beads/gems, bows, or any embellishments added to it.

All embroidered articles should be laundered with neutral laundering agents in cold water.   Strong detergents which contain optical brighteners or bleaching agents such as chlorine, peroxide or sodium carbonate can cause discoloration.

Machine embroidered goods should be washed separately.  Do not pack embroidered garments tightly in washing machines, leave them soaking in water, or in piles of wet clothing.  Rinse embroidered garments in cold water immediately after washing making certain that no residue remains. We do not recommend wringing embroidered goods. Stain removers may damage the color and consistency of the embroidery thread especially when scrubbed by hand or with a brush.

Use low temperature setting when ironing.  Cover the embroidered item with a towel and iron it lightly from the back side.

Dry Cleaning:

Embroidery may be dry cleaned.  However, extreme care should be exercised when dry cleaning embroidery.  Special care must be taken when shades of red or orange are used due to dye methods used to produce these colors.

Tutus are made of a very delicate and fragile netted fabric and in order to retain its look and beauty, certain steps can be taken. When your tutu arrives, give it a little shake and place it on an adult hanger. Gently rake your fingers through the tulle to fluff and straighten tulle.  It may arrive wrinkled due to shipping. In this case, hang the tutu in the bathroom and run the shower with hot water and allow the steam to dewrinkle the tutu. Another option for dewrinkling the tutu is is to use Downy Wrinkle Releaser. If you choose to use the Downy, lay your tutu on a solid surface (NOT HARDWOOD!) and spread out your tutu pancake style. Spray away and let the tutu lay flat until dry.
